Ballistic Records는 런던에 본거지를 두고 있던 레이블로 70년대 말에 주로 Roots Reggae나 Rock Sready 계열의 음반들을 발매했다. 「Ballistic Second Assault」(1978)는 「Ballistic Sureshots」(1978)에 이은 레이블의 두번째 컴필레이션 음반으로 Ballistic Records의 대표 밴드들이 참여했다.
